The left party at Bengal sometimes does some good works for the nation and even for the complete global environment unknowingly!
The frequent "Bandhs" called out by left are very favorable for various sectors of people! No doubt they result in a complete halt of all the proceeding activities like : abrupt closing of offices, loss of studies of children.... in short a complete 1 or 2 day halt in the progress life of people
But grass is greener on the other side :O
One day bandh results in the following benefits
1) less traffic on roads as a result lesser pollution
2) One day "chutti" for students is like a "vardaan" for them, I think they might be praying to God everyday to provide the left party people with such miraculous ideas.
3) One day leave for working people esp ladies result in a day to be spent with there family and husband.
4)One day off from the office for men is like a day donated to the t.v
5) Most likely i think trp's of some serials definitely show an increase on this day! So in short the drama industry is also benefited.
6)One day off means relaxation from the hectic life and polluting traffic
...................................
.............................................
.....................................................
and the list goes on and on!
In short you just can't only blame left in bringing a halt in your progress life but you should also appreciate them for giving you so many good opportunities!

!@#$ Have we really made a difference !@#$
There is a very beautiful saying "Together we can and we will make a difference"
but after 61 years of precious and most awaited independence for which our ancestors stood against the British empire do we have really made a difference!
This question often strikes my mind but I am always unable to convince myself.
There are innumerable examples present in front of us..... so many day to-day happenings which often leads to a diversion in my idea about "have we really made a difference"???
Here I would present some examples which would examplify my thought procedures
Considering the PROS of the independent India
India, A country which is considered to be at the top of the list in case of heritage and culture, which is later proceeded by china with rich heritage and culture .... is considered to be at the top of the list later preceded by japan and china receptively. Many poets and literary people have described a lot about this country. Even foreigners like hune-stang also wrote many things about rich Indian culture and advanced teaching methodologies.
Because of its rich heritage there is a very famous saying "कोस कोस पे बदले पानी चार कोस पर वाणी"
Infact I think India is able to retain its rich culture and ethic values because of the people. They are the ones who have kept the ethics still alive even at this advance age of modernization.
India is one of the developing country which has shown drastic progress after the introduction of globalisation.
India is one the leading country in IT sectors. Indian manpower is world wide famous!
Its only in India where we experience seasonal changes in a beautiful manner!
It's only India which has given us big laureates like Amartya Sen, Bhattacharya, Kautilya and many more.
He was an Indian who worked with Einstein and invented 4th state of matter known as Bose-Einstein condensation.
Often our young scientists make us proud by winning various competitions like young scientists award and young mathematician.
It is India from where ladies like Kalpana chawla and Sunita williams have brought fame to there country because of there indispensable contribution to the field of aeronautics and engineering.
They are The Indians who invented IPL and brought a revolution in the field of cricket ;)
It's yoga, the old Indian callanetic, which has created awareness in the whole world and is also practiced widely today.
And the list goes on and on ....unendingly.
Now lets talk about the other face of the coin. Although people are familiar with this face of coin too but still I would like make some remarks!
Talking about India, A country which holds starling light position in the corruption chart!
A country which is rich in heritage but still they are in deplorable conditions (Infact its surprising to see that tourism holds one of the most important position in the revenue generation! but still no amendments are made to improve there condition)
A country where corruption is so widely present (both in a horizontal and vertical chain system that people have accepted it as a part of the society.) No work proceeds unless you keep a "hari patti" over the desk of the local babus
Day before yesterday I was reading an article written by shobha de in times of India "Mera bharat kahan" In that article she made a beautiful comparison between the miserable life of a girl who sells news papers in the street and the ONLY olympic winner of India, millionaire- Abhinav bindra (who continued shooting as a passion!)
These are the true facets of life which cannot be neglected any how!
This is not the end of the list, Next come the prevalent communalism which has nearly oops... already destroyed the peace of the beautiful kashmir valley!
Not only kashmir valley but other small areas and remote states like sikkim, aasam are also slowly and steadily joining the list!
After seeing and having a look at these innumerable examples of the two facets of the coin I am unable to draw the answer for the question "After 61 precious years of independence have we really made a difference"?
Is this the capability of India that after so many odds it is able to stand erect on the road of development OR it is the inability of India that are acting as hurdles in the road of development?

Game of life
It is in games
that many people discover there paradise!
A life is also a game, and we all are mere players
Well it depends upon a person how he/she plays his/her game of life.
Some love playing with challenges, some really like to take it in a slow mode.
Some play it in a real rough manner , while some play it in a zig zag manner,
On the contrary, some leave it in the hands of destiny!
Well I think one always needs a strategy to play a game. It is not always the case that there would be a "win-win" situation for you all the time! It is just a matter of luck or by fluke you sometimes win the game without a strategy behind it. ( I wont say a perfect strategy because there can be more than one way to reach the destination and the priority to select the path depends and differs from person to person)
To win a game one needs a strategy- this strategy might not be the perfect one but atleast the one which could guide your way or could show you the way to start with.
First step is always the diffcult and most important step .... rest are just the follow ups.
Infact I should say your step is the deciding step, it decides your victory or loss towards your goal. If taken properly and in time then success will be in your way else you need to struggle hard to owe one!
Our life is mainly a collection of several games!
You practice time begins as soon as you are born.
In adolescent age you play the most important game i.e the game of your "Career"
In your later age you play a game of your life time... i.e your player quantity which was initially one becomes two! Now the player turns into a player team. The mantra of this gaming zone is that the two players should be mutually cooperative and helpful to each other. The duo then comes into the real ground of playing where there are several competitors like them. This is the zone where you need to be a good defender so that- when necessary you may defend your team and you also need to be a good player too so that you may be ahead of others.
You also need to have a good game plan, the plan which reaches or tells you the path towards your goal.
Finally in the old age a new game of life begins where you will not be the players but would act like a guiding light for the new players..... these new players are none other than your own children who will then start their journey towards their goal.
This game of life starts when you are born and finishes only when you attain serenity.
But this gaming becomes fun when you start enjoying it ....
after all its your life and your game!
that many people discover there paradise!

Number of days in a week???
Although the topic seems to be a piece of waste
but mind you, once you think about it properly you will come to know that its a big point of discussion!
I have seen many working people (esp ladies) crying about the fact that they are even made to work on sunday in offices.
(My sis who is a lawyer in supreme court continuously cries about this fact as she always have to work on sunday's when ever there is a hearing on monday)!!
poor lady!
Initially in my college days I used to find no difference between sunday or monday or any other day because I was one of the regular bunkers who used to bunk classes every other day :o)
but thanx to my frnds who saved my attendance from going down!
After coming to this professional world I have realized the how useful this sunday is!
(the reason for which I would not refer saturday is because some offices are open for 6 days in a week)
Yesterday when I was lying on my bed, suddenly an idea banged my head and I thought that their should be 8 days instead of 7 days in a weekday
Lets start with monday!
this upcoming schedule discussed below is mainly for people who work for 5 days in a week!
Monday is the first day of the working calendar, being the first day its very tough to decide how to start your work with! Coming after a holiday there are already so many beautiful memories of the past sunday that its tough to come out and step into reality!
Once you are done with your planning of how to start your work and your schedule you come to know that your monday is over!
Then comes Tuesday!
Tuesday being the second day of work and the day which forms the baseline of your plan it suddenly becomes tough to start with such a big plan! But somehow you have to take the first step and here you go ..........!^!
Wednesday and Thursday moves out working hard on following the plan which was made on Monday! but being "human by nature" its kind of tough to follow this monotonous plan of work as being human by nature one needs a break from the monotonicity which is being followed since 3 days, so finally we quit to work on friday.
Friday
Here is the time when friday comes into existance!
Our quitting the work plan moves out in the first half of the friday and the second half moves out in planning, as one has to plan out many things for the 2 most important days of the week i.e saturday and sunday!
But being in office its not practically possible to plan out your enjoyment schedule as you also need to pretend to be working in front of your boss if he is in round ( and the condition becomes worse when your boss sits just besides you! Its the time when you need to pretend the most!! )
Saturday
Well, after a hectic 5 day working one person also needs a bit of rest, moreover one also requires time for the further planning of how to spent a sunday!
but in overwhelm people often decide or make plans which could not be fulfilled in one day!
moreover for married people they often have so many works which includes home stuffs and some time for relaxation.
Sunday
Slogging all days in a week one really prefers to get up late on this day!
and once you get up late half of your day moves out in laziness. In short there is not much
So I think 1 day as a holiday is not enough for people to enjoy and relax and on sunday one also needs to keep one thing in mind i.e one has to get up early in the morning on monday so he/she has to go to bed early!
In short there is not much time left for enjoyment!
As we all know that a healthy body leads to healthy mind
and a person has healthy body only when one has enjoyed itself (as all work and no play makes jack a dull boy)
and if jack becomes a dull boy then he will not be able to give his best performance in the institute or the company in which he is serving!
so for the benefit of the companies they should pass on the rule in which people should be given one more day as an off except sat and sunday!
Which will result in the revision of our working calendar and from now we would be having 8days instead of 7 days which would include 3 days off for the sake of the benefit of the company ;)
I know you all will agree with my decision!
and if not or if you have some more suggestions then do write it as a comment!
P.S : This was one of the essay topics I was given in my ragging time as one snr asked me how many days are there in a week and by mistake i answered 8! and on that day I landed up writing an essay to proove my point!
:o)

(aaj kahin apne dagar se bhatak naa jaana)
